- The innovative FTT Roof Window provides our best energy saving insulation, delivering an excellent overall heat transfer rating.
- The window functions as an efficient system, from the glazing to the frame, to the flashing. Ideal for Passive House construction, and is available in two versions: FTT U8 quadruple and FTT U6 triple glazing.
- The glazing is set in a specially designed thicker wood frame than standard windows, working in unison with thermal insulation to minimize thermal bridges.
The FAKRO premium deck mounted skylights carry a 20 year warranty on sealed glass failure. 10 years on parts, and 5 years on blinds and controls.
FEATURES
- The innovative FTT Roof Window provides the ultimate energy saving insulation.
- The FTT features a centre pivot with a raised axis of rotation. Creating space and the ability to stand comfortably under the window.
- Sash frame is engineered to be thicker than standard windows and significantly increases durability and the thermo insulation.
- Available in quadruple glazed, krypton gas filled – U8-VSG; or triple glazed, argon gas filled – U6.
- U8 quadruple glazed is Passive House certified.
- Innovative closing mechanism locking the sash from both sides of the frame.
- Suitable for roofs with pitches between 15-70° degrees.
- Best in class sound insulation.
- Sash can be held open anywhere along the 0-45° degree opening.
- Blackout (ARF) or light filtering (ARP) blinds available. XGP overlay required for blind installation on all FTT models.
- Mosquito screens (AMS) available, sold separately.
- Z-Wave solar or hard wired electric versions are available by special order.
- Low profile design complements your roof design.
- UV resistant polyester paint coated aluminum frame for long life.
- Note: For the warranty to be valid, FAKRO skylights must be installed with a FAKRO flashing kit.

FTT U6 – Energy Efficient Triple Glazing
- The U6 is a triple glazed energy efficient glazing unit available on the FTT Deck Mounted Thermo Window that provides outstanding thermal performance.
- Three panes: external tempered pane, internal tempered with low emission layer and inner pane (consists of two panes with 0.76mm layer of PVB plastic membrane between them) laminated anti burglary glass P2A.
- The unit has two warm TGI spacers.
- The two chamber cavities are filled with inert Argon gas.
- Recommended EHV-T Thermo Flashing.
FTT U8 – VSG Thermo – Quadruple Glazing
- The U8 is best in class quadruple pane glazing technology available on the FTT Deck Mounted Thermo Window. FTT U8 is a quadruple glazed venting roof window with Krypton gas in all air spaces providing insulation for extreme climates.
- It has three low emission layers and warm TGI spacers. Inner laminated anti burglary glass P2A.
- The three 12mm chamber cavities between the panes are filled with inert Krypton gas.
- Supplied with EHV-T Thermo Flashing.

The Superior Insulation of the Industry’s Thickest Wood Frames
- FAKRO combines technology, research and craftsmanship in the development of its finely crafted solid wood narrow grain factory lacquered frames. The frames are the thickest available, maximizing the insulating properties of high density wood.
- Manufactured to an unsurpassed level of quality, beautiful to the touch. Many other wood frames are thinner and produced of lower quality primed wood.
- All wood elements are factory lacquered before final assembly.
FAKRO Uses Ultra Insulating Krypton Gas Filled Glazing
- No other gas delivers the thermal performance of Krypton. The gas is inserted into the chamber between the panes providing superior insulation.
- Krypton is considerably heavier than air, producing a superior energy efficient barrier. In fact it is twelve times denser than oxygen and 6 times denser than argon gas.
- Glazing units filled with Krypton gas reduce sound transmission of outside noise pollution.
- The gas particles are smaller and fill the air space more effectively than argon gas, producing a more effective thermal barrier.
- Krypton is more energy efficient than argon gas. This remarkable gas slows down or blocks thermal energy travelling through the glazing unit.
- Available on FTT U8 – VSG Center tilt, FGH-V Balcony Window, DEF/DMF/DXF flat roof skylights.
Innovative Closing System Locks out Energy Loss
- The innovative closing mechanism tightly locks the sash from both sides of the frame.
- The two point locking system makes the sash exceptionally secure and keep the seals tight, preventing air entering your home or escaping from the inside.

The Features of FAKRO’s Laminated Glass
FAKRO offers laminated glass on all its skylights and roof windows. FAKRO uses a number of different configurations of glazing based on the requirements of the skylight or roof window, this includes double, triple and now Canada’s first quadruple glass unit. Laminated glass has many benefits.
Superior Sound Reduction
Reduces the effects of sound by up to 30% compared to standard double pane glass, and up to 50% less than a acrylic skylight. Bring natural light in without additional noise such as traffic or planes.
Additional Security
Laminated glass is more difficult to break and penetrate. So, if you are concerned about security it is worth considering. The vinyl interlayer holds the glass together in case of breakage.
Best in class UV Protection
Laminated glass lets the light in but protects your home from UV rays. The ideal choice to prevent fading of your floors, furniture and artwork.
Increased Safety
Laminated glass provides additional safety. Even when broken it does not shatter because the two inner layers of glass are bonded to a thin plastic membrane.
Many building codes require laminated glass for out of reach applications.
