Columbia’s Brand
Columbia represents the FAKRO and Slimlite brands, as such all usage of these brands must be approved by Columbia.
We are passionate about protecting the Columbia brand
- It is critical that we protect the brand so that our customers are assured they are buying the product that they have come to trust. We need to uphold the brand so that our dealers, installers, employees and customers feel confident in their choice.
- Any unsanctioned use of the brand is a violation (print or digitally) of our Canadian and US trademarks and will be dealt with vigorously using all legal channels.
- All representation of our brand by others must be favourable and positive. Any application or misrepresentation considered slanderous will be addressed legally.
- We have recently refreshed our brand identity – applying it to the launch of two websites, videos, social media, building signage, showroom graphics, and numerous pieces of marketing collateral.

CORPORATE FONT
Columbia’s official typeface, Poppins, is used on all its marketing materials. The san serif typeface was selected because it embodies characteristics of the Columbia brand – it is modern, well designed, accessible, friendly, and honest. The typeface is part of the Google family of fonts and is designed for digital and print applications.

- Columbia Skylights, Slimlite Skylights and FAKRO Canada are companies owned or distributed by Columbia Manufacturing Co. Ltd. All use of these brands and their visual assets must be approved by Columbia.
- Any unapproved use of our brand is a violation of the trademark and will be pursued legally.
- The Columbia name and the Columbia logo are registered trademarks. Our aim is to protect and enforce our rights to the Columbia trademarks through all available means.
- Any party using the Columbia trademarks must observe the following trademark guidelines.

- Use the logo as provided.
- Use the primary logo on the blue rectangle where possible.
- The logo must always be accompanied by the Registration symbol.
- Only use Columbia’s official colour palette.
- Only use Poppins as the font.
- Only use official photography (Supplied upon approved request).
DON’T
- Never alter the logo.
- Never change the colour of the logo – in all colour applications, the logo must be used in blue. The black logo is only for one colour greyscale application such as a newspaper.
- Don’t use colours not outlined in the guideline.
- Don’t display Columbia, FAKRO, or Slimlite products on your own website without approval.
Photography and Diagrams
- Columbia, FAKRO and Slimlite have a wide range of photography, diagrams, icons, and 3D computer renderings. You can request these assets for your marketing, but must have approval before use.
- We want installers and dealers to use Columbia brand assets for their own marketing material.
- Contact Columbia to request Columbia, FAKRO or Slimlite photography and diagrams. Approval must be secured before usage.
