Exclusive FAKRO Flashing
for ROOF Window Skylights

  • FAKRO has designed a range of flashing systems that work with and enhance the performance of your skylight or roof window. They are configured to work exclusively with FAKRO products and will give you the ultimate weathertight effectiveness.
  • There are flashing kits designed to work with all roof materials, such as shingle, metal, ceramic tile, slate, etc. All flashings are factory made using aluminum and powder polyester coated.
  • Note: FAKRO skylights & roof windows must be installed with FAKRO flashing for the warranty to be valid.
  • Consider using thermo flashing to improve your skylight energy efficiency by up to 10%.

FAKRO skylight flashings are categorized according to the roof material used and application. The chart below will help you choose the right flashing for your skylight. The use of Thermo flashing allows you to achieve ENERGY STAR® Canada certification.

Flashing for Low Profile Roofing Material
(Asphalt Shingles, Flat Tiles, and Slates)

ELW   Low Profile Step Flashing

ELN – Low Profile Step Flashing

For use with FTT, FTP-V, FPP-V roof windows
  • ELN flashing is ideal for an attractive, tight, secure fit of a window with asphalt shingles, shakes or slate tiles roofing material up to 3/8” thick.
  • Designed for the installation of single or multiple windows – can be used in a row of skylights, combined vertically, horizontally and in a grid (Contact customer service for additional information).
  • The lower element of the flashing is finished with a plastic mat glued to the underside, allowing the flashing to adhere to the roof covering with a tight fit.
  • A top drainage gutter is included in the package in case the roof structure allows its installation. The installer should determine if it is necessary based on the specifics of the application.

EHV T Thermo   Universal Flashing

EHV-T Thermo – Universal Flashing

For use with FTT, FTP-V, FPP-V roof windows.*

* Highly recommended for FTT U6 triple glazed & U8 quadruple glazed roof windows because of superior thermal properties.

  • The new universal EHV-T Thermo flashing can be used with low or high profile roofing materials. It features additional insulation, and guarantees a tight and ”warm” connection between the window with the roof covering. For use with low profile (asphalt shingles, shakes or slate tiles) or high profile roofing materials (metal, ceramic tiles).
  • The flashing is 22 mm (7/8”) wider than standard and is made of four basic components (bottom flashing, two side flashing pieces and top head flashing), each piece is equipped with glued insulation material, made to size.
  • The bottom component has a long, wide aluminum plastic apron with an adhesive PVC strip attached to the underside. This allows the flashing to adhere to the roof material for a perfect fit.
  • The flashing is equipped with side sealing channels to protect against wind blown dust, leaves, rain and snow. In addition, there is a weep flap to allow condensation to drain away from the window.
  • An insulating material is attached to the inside of the flashing that adheres tightly to the window frame, creating a thermo-insulated frame, an excellent thermal barrier. Thermo flashing increases the U-Value of the window up to 10% depending on the window type, thus avoiding thermal bridging and heat loss.
  • EHV-T Thermo flashing is a universal kit that can be used for low and high profile roofing materials.
  • ELV-T Thermo is recommended for standing seam metal roofs.

ELN   Low Profile Step Flashing

ELW – Low Profile Step Flashing

For use with the FWU roof window
  • The ELW is a specific flashings designed for the FAKRO FWU Roof Access Window. Intended for low profile asphalt shingles, shakes or slate tiles up to 3/8” thick.
  • The FWU can be combined with a FTP-V centre pivot window or with a FPP-V top hung window with the same installation depth, and matching windows height (Contact customer service for additional information).

ELN-G – Low Profile Step Flashing

For use with the FGH-V roof window
  • ELN-G is designed for the FGH-V Galeria roof window. Flashings ensure a tight, secure connection of the roof window with the roof material.
  • ELN-G step flashing is intended for low profile asphalt shingles, shakes or slate tiles up to 3/8” thick. Ideal for an integrated, tight, and secure window installation of a window.
  • Can be installed as individual windows, or in a horizontal row of multiple windows (Contact customer service for additional information).
  • Designed for roof pitches from 35° to 55° degrees.
  • The lower element of the flashing is finished with a plastic mat glued to the underside, allowing the flashing to adhere to the roof covering for a tight fit.
  • A top drainage gutter is included in the package in case the roof structure allows its installation. The installer should determine if it is necessary based on the specifics of the application.

Flashing for High Profile Materials

EHN – High Profile Flashing

For use with FTP-V, FTT, FPP roof windows
  • The EHN flashing provides a secure, watertight connection between the window and high profile corrugated roof coverings, such as roof tiles and high profile metal sheeting. It can be applied to roof coverings with a profile depth of up to 3 ½”.
  • Designed for the installation of single or multiple windows – can be used in a row of skylights, combined vertically, horizontally, and in a grid (Contact customer service for additional information).
  • For roof pitches between 15° and 85° degrees.
  • The flashing side sealing channels include a sponge seal (factory installed) to provide protection against wind blown dust, leaves, rain, and snow.
  • Equipped with a weep flap to allow condensation to drain away from the window.

EHW - High Profile Flashing

EHW – High Profile Flashing

For use with the FWU roof access window
  • The EHW is a specific flashings designed for the FAKRO FWU Roof Access Window. For high profiled roofing material such as metal sheeting or ceramic tile.
  • It can also be combined with centre pivot FTP-V window or with top hung FPP-V window to an installation depth of N, matching windows of the same height (Contact customer service for additional information).

For use with the FGH-V roof window
  • EHN-G is designed for the FGH-V Galeria roof window. Flashings ensure a tight, secure connection of the roof window with the roof material.

Roof Underlayment

Made in Canada, this Skylight Roofing Underlayment is a safeguard to ensure a watertight installation. Self Adhesive membrane eliminates air currents and water infiltration.

  • 25mm thick synthetic roof underlayment membrane made of polyolefin.
  • Measures 1 Ft x 21 Ft.
  • UV Protected, anti skid surface allows for a fast and safe installation in any condition.
  • Sufficient roofing underlayment supplied for one skylight.
  • May be installed without primer.
  • Self adhesive activated by a release sheet.
