The FAKRO premium curb mounted skylights carry a 20 year warranty on sealed glass failure. 10 years on parts, and 5 years on blinds and controls.
Features
- Infinity glass with black bezel gives the curb mount skylight a stylish modern appearance.
- The 30 mm outer frame bezel surrounding the glazing unit is black, enhancing the look of the infinity glass.
- The inner frame is made of white PVC with a multi chamber design to improve thermal performance.
- UV resistant polyester paint coated aluminum frame, in FAKRO signature grey-brown.
- Colourless weather sealant between the glazing unit and aluminum profile securely holds the infinity glass in place.
- As a venting skylight, it opens to lets in cooling fresh air, and expels hot interior air, contaminated with dust and odors.
- Powered by a state of the art PV solar panel with integrated battery and rain sensor.
- The solar powered opening mechanism and battery is concealed in the skylight frame.
- Standard removable insect screen.
- The Z-Wave radio control system allows for Smart Home integration.
- Equipped with a single chamber solar G33 glazing unit which has inner glass laminated and an insulated spacer. In case of breakage, laminated glass will not shatter into pieces, rather remain on the laminated film.
- The smooth modern design allows for for superior water drainage.
- The FVC-S is suitable for flat and sloped roofs with pitches from 0° to 60°. See note at bottom*.
- A sloped roof installation requires the EL-C or EL-H flashing (10° to 60°), in compliance with FAKRO’s warranty.
- Can be equipped with a wide range of blinds.
- Supplied with a ZRH12 Remote Control.
- Available in 10 standard sizes.
*Note: For the warranty to be valid, FAKRO skylights must be installed between a slope of 10° – 60°.

Infinity Glass
- The FVC-S Curb Mounted Solar Venting is a premium, architecturally striking, innovative skylight – featuring seamless, infinity glass, with stylish black bezel.
- The infinity glass gives the skylight a modern sophisticated look. This skylight has the ‘wow factor’.
Solar Powered
- The FVC-S is equipped with the PV solar panel with integrated battery and rain sensor. No need for the skylight to be hard wired into your home’s electrical system, reducing your energy bill.
- The solar panel can be tilted to the optimal position, in line with the sun’s rays. The state of the art PV solar panel collects energy even on cloudy days.
- Rigid bracket provides additional strength when dealing with adverse weather conditions.
Responds to a Single Drop of Water
- The FVC-S includes an integrated rain sensor that automatically closes the skylight at the first sign of rain.
- So, you never have to worry about your skylight when you are away from home or the office, and it unexpectedly starts to rain.
FAKRO’s Curb Mount System
- Curb mounting is the preferred installation method in North America.
- Curb mounted skylights sit on top of a site built wood curb on the roof. The wood curb is fastened directly to the roof sheathing.
- For a sloped roof, curb is protected with aluminum flashing that integrates into the roofing system to prevent water entry around the openings. The curb mount skylight is then sealed and fastened to the flashed curb.
- For flat roof installation (less than 10°) consult a professional roofer.
Smart Home & Remote Control Operation
- Control your FVC-S skylights as a stand alone unit or as a group of skylights using the included ZRH12 remote control.
- The remote controls up to 12 separate groups with up to 12 skylights per group (144 total).
A wall keyboard is also available, ZRW7, operating up to 7 separate groups with up to 12 skylights per group (84 total). - Z-Wave technology allows your skylight to be integrated with your Smart Home system and controlled by your smart phone or tablet.
Upgrade Your FVC-S Skylight with Blackout or Light Filtering Blinds
- If you need to eliminate the light coming through the skylight, the FVC-S can be fitted with SRF-MV/C manual or SRF-EV/C Solar blackout blinds.
- Reduce the amount of sunlight entering the room with SRP-MV/C manual or SRP-EV/C Solar light filtering blinds.
- Choose from a wide range of designer colours, to complement any interior.
- Smooth operating aluminum runners. Comes in manual and solar versions.
FAKRO’s Premium G33 Glazing Unit
The Features of FAKRO’s Laminated Glass
FAKRO offers laminated glass on all its skylights and roof windows. FAKRO uses a number of different configurations of glazing based on the requirements of the skylight or roof window, this includes double, triple and now Canada’s first quadruple glass unit. Laminated glass has many benefits.
Superior Sound Reduction
Reduces the effects of sound by up to 30% compared to standard double pane glass, and up to 50% less than a acrylic skylight. Bring natural light in without additional noise such as traffic or planes.
Additional Security
Laminated glass is more difficult to break and penetrate. So, if you are concerned about security it is worth considering. The vinyl interlayer holds the glass together in case of breakage.
Best in class UV Protection
Laminated glass lets the light in but protects your home from UV rays. The ideal choice to prevent fading of your floors, furniture and artwork.
Increased Safety
Laminated glass provides additional safety. Even when broken it does not shatter because the two inner layers of glass are bonded to a thin plastic membrane.
Many building codes require laminated glass for out of reach applications.

- FAKRO FVC-S skylights are equipped with the industry standard Z-Wave Smart Home radio technology. Z-Wave is one of the most widely used wireless broadcasting systems, so our products easily integrate with your Smart Home systems.
- Z-Wave is well supported, being constantly improved and updated to adjust to changing technology, removing the risk of a proprietary system offered by competitive manufacturers that may lack the support necessary to keep it up to date.
- Alternatively, the skylight can be operated without being connected to a Smart Home Hub, with the included ZRH 12 Remote Control controlling the skylight directly.
