FV – Deck Mounted Manual Venting Skylight
- Beautifully transform any interior spacing, the FV deck mounted manual venting skylights provides the warmth of natural light and the health benefit of fresh air circulation.
- The FV is recommended for installation where the skylights will be fairly easy to reach and operate with a window crank handle or a control rod.
- The FV has been the benchmark of venting skylights for years, manufactured to the highest standard in Europe and providing the elegance of factory lacquered solid wood construction.
The FAKRO premium deck mounted skylights carry a 20 year warranty on sealed glass failure. 10 years on parts, and 5 years on blinds and controls.

- Note: For the warranty to be valid, FAKRO skylights must be installed with a FAKRO flashing kit.
Highlights of the FV – Deck Mounted Manual Venting Skylight
Easy to Use Manual Operation
- For within reach operation, FV manual venting skylight is supplied with SZK crank handle.
- For out of reach applications, a metal hex ball tipped telescopic control rod is available in two sizes: 4-6ft and 6-10ft.
- An optional flexible tipped SZS (5-10ft) and SZS Mini (20”) aluminum control rods are also available for easier alignment with angled installations. The same control rods will operate on all deck mount manual venting skylights (FV), flat roof manual venting skylights (DMF, DMG and DMZ) and all FAKRO manual blinds.
ENERGY STAR® Certified with Use of Thermo Flashing
- Skylights used in conjunction with the FAKRO Thermo Flashing system are ENERGY STAR® certified.
- Optional high performance thermal flashing increases the R-value of the skylight by up to 10%.
- EL-T Thermo and ELA-T Thermo Flashings are a new product in the FAKRO range that provides superior integration with an insulated roof. These flashings help eliminate “cool areas” that sometimes occur between the roof deck and skylight causing condensation on the interior drywall.

Gasket System Prevents Air and Water Penetration

One Person Installation Saves Your Roofer Time & You Money
- Metal pins hold the skylight in place during installation. The elimination of the skylight sliding allows for one person installation.
- 4 to 6 screws drilled through the frame to secure the skylight to the roof deck. Perfect for new builds and retrofits.
- A template is supplied that is specific to the skylight model, for fast and easy marking of the rough opening.

The Features of FAKRO’s Laminated Glass
FAKRO offers laminated glass on all its skylights and roof windows. FAKRO uses a number of different configurations of glazing based on the requirements of the skylight or roof window, this includes double, triple and now Canada’s first quadruple glass unit. Laminated glass has many benefits.
Superior Sound Reduction
Reduces the effects of sound by up to 30% compared to standard double pane glass, and up to 50% less than a acrylic skylight. Bring natural light in without additional noise such as traffic or planes.
Additional Security
Laminated glass is more difficult to break and penetrate. So, if you are concerned about security it is worth considering. The vinyl interlayer holds the glass together in case of breakage.
Best in class UV Protection
Laminated glass lets the light in but protects your home from UV rays. The ideal choice to prevent fading of your floors, furniture and artwork.
Increased Safety
Laminated glass provides additional safety. Even when broken it does not shatter because the two inner layers of glass are bonded to a thin plastic membrane.
