FAKRO’s DXG combines outstanding European engineering and design, maximizing the daylight entering your home, while delivering excellent energy efficiency and thermal insulation in the P2 double glazed unit.
Providing an abundance of natural light and the health benefits, the window profile is specially designed to provide a glazing area up to 16% greater than those of competitors.
Windows are offered with a safety P2 glazing unit equipped with internal laminated glass in P2A class ensuring safety of use.
The window is covered from the top with a special glass section that consists of 4 mm or 6 mm tempered glass depending on the unit size combined with a unique aluminium black profile. The glass section is factory applied to the window which substantially reduces its installation time.
With the DXG every room under a flat roof can be flooded with warm beautiful natural light.

The FAKRO premium deck mounted skylights carry a 20 year warranty on sealed glass failure. 10 years on parts, and 5 years on blinds and controls.

An ideal solution for flat roof applications requiring fresh air ventilation.
Up to 16% greater glazing area when compared with other manufacturer’s windows of a similar size. Suitable for roofs with pitches between 2-15° degrees.
Innovative glazing unit featuring leading edge design.
The DXG is offered with P2 glazing unit which comes with a Class P2A inner laminated pane to secure safety of use and protect against shards of glass in case of damage.
Optionally, there is available laminated P4 anti burglary glazing unit featuring P4A class.

The DXG can be installed in the roof pitch as low as 2° or 0° with the XRD/A base thanks to the innovative method of rain water drainage from the window surface.
Internal and external accessories available.
Windows come in sizes from 60 x 60cm to 120 x 120cm and also in custom sizes in this range. This allows for easy replacement of existing skylights.
Can be used with roofing products such as TPO, PVC, EPDM single ply or torched down membranes.
Blackout (ARF-D) blinds are available.

The DXG features an elegant black frame that wraps the edge of the glazing unit incorporated with a black bezel, delivering a sleek contemporary look. Up to 16% greater glazing area compared to competitive offerings. Create a striking architectural feature, ideal when the skylight can be seen from above.
Buildings with flat roofs often exclude natural light skylights and miss out on the benefits, but the DXG has been specifically designed for flat roofs.

The FAKRO flat roof skylight series (triple and double glazed) can be installed individually, in a row, or in a group. Discuss the necessary structural requirements with your architect and engineer.

Energy Efficient

The DXG delivers excellent thermal insulation with the state of the art P2 glazing unit gazed unit. With a window U Value of 0.92 W/m²K and a glazing U Value of 1.1 W/m²K. The glass panes are filled with inert thermal efficient argon gas.
On the inner side of the laminated glass it has a low emission coating which reduces penetration of UV rays by up to 99%.

Excellent thermal insulation performance. The heat transfer coefficient for the complete window is 0.92 W/ m2K, which is 35% better than solutions offered by the competition.

Superior Sound Insulation

A quiet calm home environment is essential to modern families. The DXG provides outstanding sound insulation from its state of the art glazing.
A quiet working environment is critical to many modern businesses, dramatically improving productivity, allowing employees a quiet place to concentrate, talk and think.
The DXG flat roof window has been tested for sound insulation during rainfall (ISO 10140-1/A2:2014) and obtained very good results. The LIA co-efficent for DEG P2 windows is 42.1 dB.

Green Roof Installation with Additional XRD/W Base

Flat roof glass skylights can also be mounted on an additional XRD/W base with a height of 5⅞” for installation on green or living roofs.
2 XRD bases can be installed on top of each other for applications requiring additional height, such as a ‘green’ roof.

The Features of FAKRO’s Laminated Glass

FAKRO offers laminated glass on all its skylights and roof windows. FAKRO uses a number of different configurations of glazing based on the requirements of the skylight or roof window, this includes double, triple and now Canada’s first quadruple glass unit. Laminated glass has many benefits.

Superior Sound Reduction

Reduces the effects of sound by up to 30% compared to standard double pane glass, and up to 50% less than a acrylic skylight. Bring natural light in without additional noise such as traffic or planes.

Additional Security

Laminated glass is more difficult to break and penetrate. So, if you are concerned about security it is worth considering. The vinyl interlayer holds the glass together in case of breakage.

Best in class UV Protection

Laminated glass lets the light in but protects your home from UV rays. The ideal choice to prevent fading of your floors, furniture and artwork.

Increased Safety

Laminated glass provides additional safety. Even when broken it does not shatter because the two inner layers of glass are bonded to a thin plastic membrane.

Many building codes require laminated glass for out of reach applications.
